Bathroom: With bath with shower over, and toilet.. Air or ground source central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Garden and patio with barbecue. 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (working farm). Bike store. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. . Rushmere Farm’s former pig shed’s have been tastefully converted into three beautiful properties, furnished simply and set in the South Downs National Park. Named after three of the most characterful occupants, Motley, Spot and Curly sleep three guests each with a sofa bed in the living area. A tranquil setting, beautiful views and plenty of outdoor space to explore perfect for couples or families. This truly rural escape offers spectacular views and a peaceful setting. See if you can spot the nearby deer that sometime can be seen foraging nearby or the woodpeckers swooping by.
The property is located within the working organic family farm which is an Agrotourism retreat. Find out more about Rushmere Farm with a tour or you can even enquire about joining a woodworking workshop that takes place on the farm. There is also use of a pizza oven!
Rushmere Farm is located in the village of Hambledon in the county of Hampshire in England, situated about 10 miles north of Portsmouth. Hambledon is best known as the ’Cradle of Cricket’. It is thought that Hambledon Club, one of the oldest cricket clubs known, was formed about 1750.
There are many wonderful footpaths and bridle paths nearby, including some that radiate from the farm, and just 13 miles away are the sea and the coastlines of Hampshire and West Sussex – including picturesque Chichester Harbour. Easy touring to stately homes at Beaulieu and Broadlands, and gardens at Exbury. Wonderful days out to Marwell Zoo, Paultons Park The World of Peppa Pig and Stanton Country Park. Other attractions include Butser Ancient Farm and the National Trust properties and gardens of Up Park and Hinton Ampner. Golf courses can also be found within easy reach.
Portsmouth (13 miles) boasts Nelson’s Victory, the Mary Rose, a wide range of amenities, a harbour and ferries to the Isle of Wight plus outlet shopping, waterside eateries and home to the Spinnaker Tower. London is about an hour by train from nearby Petersfield. Pub within a mile. Beach 14¼ miles.
Curly (ref UK36964), Motley (ref UK36962) and Spot (ref UK36963) can be booked together to accommodate up to 12 guests.
