This detached property is ideal for family and friends holidaying together, close to the Moray coast. . Strathclaggan is an impressive family home, located in a stunning location in the heart of Speyside. It is luxuriously furnished with your comfort in mind, has spacious airy rooms and a fantastic large, enclosed garden for all to relax and enjoy. Inside you will find the wonderfully bright open plan living space with French doors leading out to the patio and garden. The kitchen area benefits from modern fittings and has an integrated hob, oven and dishwasher. The first floor landing is flooded with natural light and provides a seating area and an office area. To the right is the master bedroom which is generously sized and has a dressing room and en suite shower room. There are three further bedrooms, all of which are of a good size and two of which share a Jack-and-Jill shower room. Outside, the house sits within a generously sized garden which is primarily laid to lawn and includes a patio with a wood-fired hot tub and a barbecue for al fresco dining.

Rising in the southern part of the Monadhliath massif, the River Spey flows through some of the most beautiful scenery before disgorging its cool, clear waters 172km later at Spey Bay in the Moray Firth. It is the ninth longest river in Britain, and the third longest and fastest flowing in Scotland. Renowned for its salmon, the river entices fishermen from all points of the compass to come and pit their wits against the ’King of Fish’. But it is not only the fishing that draws people to Speyside; this area is rich in history with many fine examples of castles and other historical sites, as well as being home to over 50 distilleries, each producing its own distinctive amber fluid. Taking its name from the river through which it flows, Speyside is a walkers’ paradise and a mecca for crafters and artists, who come for the unique quality of light, the vast open skies, breath-taking sunrises and sunsets, and just for the sheer exuberance of the area. Once visited, it is never forgotten. Strathclaggan is the perfect stay for all who come here to indulge their passion for whisky, castle hopping and munro bagging, skiing, off-road driving, kayaking, white water rafting and, of course, fishing.
