Lochshiel caravans are on a working croft, which is clean comfortable caravans with another 2 caravans beside it ,(Please bring your own linen and towels, we supply duvets and pillows.
All caravans have there own parking and private outside area with views of lochshiel were you can go fishing, kayaking and plenty off lovely walks. Caravan 1 sleeps 3 comfortable.
The name Acharacle comes from the Gaelic Ath Tharracail or Torquil's fjord, following a battle in 1120 nearby across the River Shiel, between the Celtic-Norse warrior Somerled and the Norse invader Torquil here,

Acharacle is on the Ardnamcurchan Penisula which is very popular for it’s fishing, hiking and beautiful scenery. Boat hire and cruises are available on Loch Shiel and Loch Sunart, which you can enjoy whale watching and bird watching.
It’s a 10 min drive from the caravans to the lovely beach of Artoe or you could walk to the singing sands. Dorlin Castel or castel Tioram is an old ruin castle whidh 10 mins away.

If the weather isn’t too great you can take a drive and visit Ardnamurchan Lighthouse, the most westerly point on the British mainland and on the way you can stop at the Adelphi Distillery and the Glenmore Natural History Centre.. Or you could head to Glenfinnan which the most famous steam train or we call it “the Harry Potter train”, And visit the Monument of Bonnie Prince Charlie.

The caravan is very comfortable. There are another static caravans on the site so group booking are available.

Located in Acharacle, this mobile home is in a rural area and on a river. Galmisdale Harbour and Lochaline Ferry Terminal are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Tobermory Marine Exhibition and Glenfinnan Museum.
