It is also within five minutes walk of the South Common and Boultham Park. There is a lovely walk and cycle path down the side of the river Witham leading into the historic City of Lincoln.

There is also an adjacent short cut available under the arch between houses on Newark Road, for pedestrian use of residents staying on the private road of Shamrock Court,. This leads to Newark Road and a short walk to Boultham Park, and river side path and cycle track leading into Lincoln City Centre.
