There are many attractions in this area including miles of very scenic footpaths straight from the front door. You’ll never be at a loss for something to see and do in the Forest of Dean. With the natural environment, fascinating history and heritage, and an array of attractions and activities are to be had here. For cycling enthusiasts, there are 33 cycle trails for all levels. There are many activities and days out to be had, such as Symonds Yat rock, Puzzlewood, Clearwell Caves and Coleford with its Great Western Railway Museum.
Humbug House provides the perfect location for visitors with pets. The Dean Heritage Centre, Dean Forest Railway, Tintern Abbey and the Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum are all nearby. Alternatively, visit the English Heritage’s Goodrich Castle, National Trust Round House and Naval Temple. There is good fishing, RSPB reserves, riding, golf, tennis and excellent walking and cycling opportunities locally. Ross-on-Wye, Chepstow, Monmouth and the cathedral cities of Gloucester and Hereford are within easy driving distance.
