There is something a little bit quirky and different about the decor The cottage is situated with walks right outside the front door in all directions with a Riverside walk with mini falls a short 5 minute walks away and the small market town of St Johns Chapel just a mile away by foot with 2 pubs, a cafe, a well stocked co-op and rural fortnightly cinema and Town hall where interesting things do happen! Being on the borders of County Durham, Cumbria and Northumberland there are places to go and things to do in every direction. The Lakes are just an hour for example, Beamish museum 45 minutes or more local attractions such as High Force 15 minute away or killhope lead mine 23 miles away.
This houseboat is located in Bishop Auckland. Weardale Museum and Housesteads Fort and Museum - Hadrian's Wall are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at De Vere Slaley Hall Golf Course and De Vere Slaley Hall Spa.
