No. 2 Sparham Hall is a beautiful cottage located in rural Norfolk which boasts exquisite garden and countryside views. Sleeping 5 which would include 1 child, the house has been recently refurbished and is the ideal country retreat!

The cottage is ideal for any season. A working wood burner is present in the lounge, whilst the large enclosed garden gives plenty of space for children to run around. The garden comes alive in the warmer months and was filmed over lockdown for the BBC’s Escape To The Country.

There’s plenty to do nearby. The historic and picturesque village of Castle Acre is only a few miles away and the market town of Swaffham is less than 10 minutes drive. Slightly further afield are Norwich and King’s Lynn whilst Fakenham is only a 20 minute drive if you fancy a flutter at the races!

Ground Floor

Walk into the spacious hallway with space for shoes and coats.

To your right is the snug/dinging room which features seating and a pull out desk/dining table – perfect for those who may need to catch up on a little work whilst away or for family meals. It is a multifunctional room, meaning guests can use it in a variety of ways to suit their needs.

The lounge features comfortable seating as well as a wood burner and a dining table for the family.

Through the lounge enter the kitchen which offers an electric oven and hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is also a small table and seating.

Beyond the kitchen is the downstairs WC/boot room and door to back garden as well as a porch which features a large dresser storing all the crockery.

At the rear of the house is a utility space which contains a washing machine and Belfast sink.

First Floor

Ascend the stairs in the hallway to reach the 3 bedrooms and family bathroom.

Bedroom 1 enjoys stunning views over the garden and Norfolk countryside. The room features a king bed, large blanket box, wash stand and 2 cupboards for hanging space. This room boasts bed linen from both Cologne & Cotton and The White Company.

Bedroom 2 also enjoys similar views to bedroom 1 and offers a king bed alongside a large chest of drawers and hanging space. This bedroom is beautifully designed with yellow interiors and also boasts bed linen from both Cologne & Cotton and The White Company.

Bedroom 3 features a cot bed (not pictured), book shelf, low table and an in built wardrobe space. It is located at the rear of the house overlooking the back garden and countryside fields.

The modern family bathroom provides a shower over bath, WC and washbasin.

Outside

The house benefits from large gardens to the front and rear (enclosed at rear) – perfect for the family dog! The gardens have been designed immaculately and therefore make for a gardeners paradise during the spring and summer months. Garden furniture is located at the rear of the property.

The property is also located on a farm with stables which are available for guests upon request.

Towards the rear are two out houses which provide bike storage for the more adventurous holiday makers, washing machine and a butlers sink.

Located in Swaffham, this apartment is in a rural area. Swaffham Museum and Dereham History & Bishop Bonner's Cottage Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Swaffham Golf Club and Richmond Park Golf Club. Woad Centre and Gooderstone Water Gardens are also worth visiting. Take an opportunity to explore the area for outdoor excitement like hiking.
