No. 1 Sparham Hall is a beautifully designed cottage set in the idyllic countryside of mid Norfolk. The cottage sleeps five across three bedrooms alongside being dog friendly.

The property has been sympathetically renovated to a high standard and it is a perfect retreat for any family or couple. Don’t worry about staying in a particular season the cottage boasts a large garden, fully working open fire and farm location with plenty of farm animals to enjoy, it’s a great place to stay regardless of the weather.

There’s plenty to do, you can take a trip to the village of Castle Acre where you will find the ruins of a Norman castle, give horse racing a go at Fakenham Racecourse, enjoy a stroll down the nearby River Nar or simply enjoy the open space which No. 1 Sparham Hall has to offer.

Ground Floor

Walk into the spacious Hallway with ample room for storage of coats and shoes. The Hallway also features a bureau and stool.

Off the Hallway comes the Living and Dining Area. The large dining table is perfect for large families and can host up to 8. The open plan living area has comfortable seating for 6, together with a large window seat. The fireplace dominates the room and creates a great ambience whilst relaxing within the cottage.

Through the Living Area is the Kitchen which has recently been renovated to a high standard. Electric cooker, microwave, toaster, kettle and dishwasher are all in the main kitchen area, but then main kitchen feature is the large vintage larder which houses most of the kitchen wares. Through a door frame comes another section of the kitchen which a large fridge/freezer and small table with chairs occupies.

The classy, modern downstairs Bathroom features a walk in rain shower alongside a wash basin and WC.

First Floor

Bedroom 1 features a large Super King bed which can be split into 2 singles on request. Situated at the front of the house with stunning countryside views, the room also features a wall mounted TV, wardrobe and chest of drawers – all designed to perfection.

Bedroom 2 is also located at the front of the cottage and features a King sized bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Bedroom 3 is a single bedroom and features 1 single bed only suitable for a child. There is also a large wardrobe which has shelving for storage.

The Family Bathroom has an electric shower over the bath, wash basin and WC.

Outside

Towards the rear of the house is an Outhouse which features the washing machine, boiler and hanging space for clothes. (don’t worry – it gets warm in there!)

Large Enclosed Garden at the front and rear of the house with garden furniture to sit, relax and enjoy the open countryside.

Stables – BRING YOUR HORSE! The property is located by a farm and has access to 2 stables. Please contact us if you wish to use these stables during your stay.

Located in Swaffham, this apartment is in a rural area. Swaffham Museum and Dereham History & Bishop Bonner's Cottage Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Swaffham Golf Club and Richmond Park Golf Club. Woad Centre and Gooderstone Water Gardens are also worth visiting. Take an opportunity to explore the area for outdoor excitement like hiking.
