Sundance House, Chapmanslade

Wiltshire. Sleeps up to 30

Set in a stunning location in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside, the fabulous Sundance House is found among a scattering of luxury properties on an exclusive countryside estate. Unwind in your private spa room with an indoor pool, sauna, and hot tub, or spend hours sipping a drink on the roof terrace. And if you’re feeling indulgent? Let the big kid in you come out by playing games, table tennis, or pool. Sundance House has everything you need for the perfect large group getaway.

Sundance House boasts a wealth of features to enhance your stay, including the all-important spa room, a vast dining table for up to 30 (yes, 30!) people, games aplenty, and even your roof terrace, from which you can spot alpacas roaming the estate grounds below.

A classic barn conversion property with oodles of contemporary style, the property unfolds across two levels. It includes exquisite design touches such as a pink-baized pool table, excellent one-of-a-kind tiling in the spa room, exposed wooden beams, and an abundance of charm.

The large garden features a BBQ and pizza oven area, a fabulous spa room, and a large courtyard area with garden furniture. Spoil yourself rotten here by dining al fresco on a feast fresh off the grill, washed down with a glass of Wiltshire cider. Or share a pot of tea and some local lardy cake by the fire pit as you watch the stars come out overhead after taking a short stroll around the country estate to pet the chickens, miniature pigs, and alpacas.

If you’re brave enough to take the whole gang for dinner out, you’ll find some great options for restaurants just a 5-minute drive away, whilst groceries can be found 10 minutes away by car. In addition, an easy port of call close to the property is Warminster Lake Pleasure Grounds, a fab park with a splash pool, café, lake, boat hire, and walking trails aplenty. With such a great variety of offerings, this destination is bound to have something for everyone, no matter how many of you there are!

Situated in lovely Wiltshire and just north of an area of outstanding natural beauty, this delightful home away from home neighbours a cluster of other secluded properties on the grounds of an exclusive private countryside estate. Although everything you need and more is at the property, should you wish to explore the area, you’ll discover the historic market town of Warminster, around a 10-minute drive away. Sitting right on the edge of the famed Salisbury Plain, the town offers a variety of cafés and independent shops, as well as being home to Warminster Lake Pleasure Grounds. Or why not drive less than 20 minutes to Trowbridge, where you can discover Trowbridge Museum? A treasure trove of activities and historical information on the region’s textile industry, the museum will interest people of all ages.

Around a 10-minute drive from the property, you’ll find the highly regarded town of Frome. Built on the fringes of the Mendip Hills, Frome is a place of great civic pride for those who call it home - and if you pay a visit, you’ll soon understand why. A hub for local arts and music, the town boasts a beautiful live music venue, two theatres, and stacks of shops and eateries, all at the edge of the glorious Exmoor National Park.

Of course, one of the jewels in the vicinity is the historic city of Bath, a little under a 30-minute drive away. A popular tourist destination for a good reason, here you can visit the spring-fed Roman baths that give the celebrated city its name, enjoy a soak at the unique Thermae Bath Spa, wander among gorgeous Georgian architecture on the city streets, take in the view from Bath Abbey Tower, and even step back in time with a visit to the delightfully genteel Jane Austen Centre, a museum celebrating Bath’s most famous resident of them all, the legendary novelist Jane Austen. And to end your Bath adventure, why not take a peaceful evening stroll along the Bath Skyline Walk, a fantastic spot for nature and sightseeing all in one place?
