Smoke (Rowington Narrowboats), Warwick

Warwickshire. Sleeps up to 6

Smoke is a glorious 61' Narrowboat sleeping 6 in 3 separate cabins, moored at Rowington near Warwick on the Grand Union Canal. She is fully insured for you to take her out and stay onboard for the length of your stay and offers wonderful opportunities for anyone wanting to discover the Stratford-upon-Avon, Coventry, Worcester & Birmingham or Birmingham & Fazeley canals or indeed (for those with 2 weeks on their hands) the Warwickshire Ring.
The beautiful historic towns and cities of Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, Royal Leamington Spa and Birmingham are accessible within a day.  The boat is rented on the basis of taking it out cruising on the canals rather than staying in situ on our home mooring.
If you are staying close at hand then the fabulous Tom o' The Wood pub is literally next door and comes highly recommended for drinking and dining. There are dozens of other pubs on the canals within striking distance also!
In season (Mar-Sep), available for lets on a weekly basis (Friday changeover - pick-up 3pm, return 10am) or for weekends (Friday 3pm to Monday 10am) or Midweek (Monday 3pm - Friday 10am). Therefore the minimum booking is 3 days. Out of season shorter periods or bespoke handover days/times may be possible by negotiation.
Fully fitted modern kitchen with Gas oven, gas hob, microwave, large domestic Fridge Freezer, toaster and hob kettle. Free 4G Wi-Fi, Bluetooth audio with speakers in all cabins and Smart TV/DVD player with extensive DVD library. Also a library of hundreds of books should you run out of reading material. Spacious domestic Bristan shower and normal flush (not cassette!) toilet. Central heating means she is a warm vessel.
Large front and back decks make her a sociable boat for cruising (Front deck is padded for sunbathing).
2 of the doubles (the one under the front deck and the middle bedroom) are permanent and the other one (the stern bedroom) is convertible from a single to 2 side-by-side singles so you can have 2 doubles and 2 singles. Please tell us what sleeping configuration you would like before you arrive so we can swap out mattresses.
For 2022 we have refurbished the boat so that is now has a banquette seating dining and lounge area so you can have a sitdown meal onboard, play games or if you just want to sit down to read or watch TV. If you don't fancy cooking for yourself then the dozens of pubs on the canals around us are very welcoming!
We have off-street secure parking for up to 2 cars and an EV charging point so we can charge your car for a nominal fee.
We are pet friendly (but do take a deposit just in case of deposits!)
For your peace of mind Smoke is:
- Boat Safety Scheme (hire boat) certificated until 2025
- Licenced as a business by the Canal & River Trust
- Fully insured (including public liability insurance) through Collidge & Partners
- Covered by River & Canal Rescue for (highly unlikely!) Breakdown & Recovery
- Gas Safety certificated
The cost of diesel is included in our prices. Do not worry if you have never narrowboated before - it is easy to learn how to control the boat and all of our staff are Royal Yacht Association Helmsman trained and will undertake a full handover including a physical demonstration.
Please note that the boat is strictly non-smoking inside

This houseboat is located in Warwick. Lord Leycester Hospital and Royal Pump Rooms are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Shirley Golf Club and Royal Leamington Spa Bowling Club. Hatton Country World and Delta Force Paintball Birmingham are also worth visiting.
