The Stables, Home Farm is set in eighty acres of glorious English countryside, one mile east of Ashdown Forest in the High Weald area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Originally a  Victorian farm, the Stables nestle beside a Sussex barn giving it a sheltered and private setting.  The pretty enclosed country garden looks out across the wildflower meadows to the woods beyond and all of this is accessible to visitors. The interior  has been  sensitively restored with many original features including stable doors, beams and a sitting room with a glorious vaulted ceiling yet with all twenty first century comforts.The owners are committed to sustainable tourism: visitors are provided with information about the High Weald, the local area and local places to visit, eat and shop. Solar panels have been installed and the logs provided are from the Home Farm woods. There are a range of local food boxes that may be ordered prior to arrival. The property is a Country Land and Business Award Winner and member of the Green Tourism Business Scheme. The Stables are delightfully rural and yet close to amenities.They are easily accessible by public transport and a regular bus service passes the door. At The Stables you can enjoy a walk  from  your doorstep through the woods or onto Ashdown Forest, looking out for deer, badgers, birds and wildflowers on your way ; you  can  enjoy attractive  local  villages, pubs and  regional food and wine. sussex offers a wealth of attractions including Brighton, historic country houses, gardens and local attractions such as  the Bluebell Railway.
