Heron Cottage, Biddenden

Kent. Sleeps up to 19

Heron Cottage is a large detached house with parts dating from the 16th Century but with a recent additional West Wing.  It is furnished mainly with antiques, is equipped to a high standard and is peacefully set in six acres of grounds surrounded by unspoilt countryside. It is situated between the ancient village of Biddenden and Sissinghurst Castle, about ten miles from Ashford and five miles from Headcorn station with frequent trains to London. Ideally located for visiting the many National Trust properties, historic buildings and gardens in Kent and Sussex.  As it is an elegant Bed & Breakfast establishment in summer, all seven bedrooms have TV's and modern en-suite bathrooms except one which has use of the family bath and shower rooms across a corridor.  The property is available for family gatherings for birthdays, anniversaries or even weddings - mainly in the winter months when it is warm and comfortable with central heating and log fires. Please ask if you are planning a summer event in 2012 as bookings may be possible.   Shop: 2 miles  Pub: 1.5 miles Coast: 20.4 miles
