Clarksburn Blue has been completely renovated and is beautifully finished throughout and offers guests a superb level of comfort and space for all the family to enjoy. The hub of the house is without doubt the large living/dining room which has terrific views over the garden to Luce Bay. This really is a very sociable space where you can perhaps enjoy a home cooked meal around the lovely big farmhouse dining table or just sit back and relax around the cosy wood burning stove. The kitchen is modern and bright with all the essentials you need to cook up that meal and from the kitchen a door leads directly to the garden where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee. With four good sized bedrooms all with sumptuous beds and bedding, a family bathroom and family shower room it’s the perfect escape for all the family to enjoy.

This area of Dumfries and Galloway boasts rugged coastlines and secluded sandy beaches, which benefit from the warmth of the passing Gulf Stream. Just across the road Monreith Beach is a long sandy beach. Popular in the summer months for swimmers and for fishing throughout the year and when the tide is out you can walk along the beach for miles. For the golfers amongst you St Medans Golf Club is just a mile away on the shores of Luce Bay. Set on a hilly peninsula with wonderful scenery and panoramic sea views this 9-hole course offers an interesting and challenging game for both novice and experienced golfers alike. With walking routes in abundance from Clarksburn Blue you might not find the time to explore further afield as the coastline and inland routes are popular at any time of year.

Surrounded by breath taking scenery Clarksburn Blue offers the ideal base from which to explore the Machars Peninsula and inland, the Galloway hills. Just a few miles along the coast is the village of Port William where you will find a shop and Café. There are many beautiful gardens to visit, including the world-renowned Logan Botanical Gardens. As well as Port William you can also explore quaint villages such as Sandhead, Portpatrick and the Isle of Whithorn.
