The charm and charisma oozes out of this traditional and spacious 2 bedroomed, former cobbler’s cottage, in a fantastic position opposite Petworth Park. The cottage, arranged over three floors, has been carefully rejuvenated with love and attention to detail and beautifully furnished to a wonderful standard throughout. The ambience is immediate as soon as you open the front door. The lower ground floor (accessible from inside and outside), features a spacious country kitchen/dining room, a utility room and a shower room. The ground floor offers a formal sitting room with sofas and an open fireplace. The snug room has a Smart TV, sofas, books, games, Xbox 360, a DVD library and a small games/activity table for those who want to play the various board games or watch a DVD. It has two generous sized bedrooms on the first floor with wardrobes, chests of drawers and a full length mirror, and a bathroom conveniently situated between both bedrooms. Outside there is a large pretty walled garden with a variety of borders and offers a barbecue, a firepit and a seating area. There are also numerous bird feeders which attracts many local birdlife.

This is an ideal homely base to explore East and West Sussex and is within easy reach of Midhurst (Cowdray), Chichester, Goodwood, Arundel, The South Downs and the Sussex coast. This is perfect walker’s and dog walker’s territory and the cottage allows 1 small dog only. The beautiful Shimmings Valley is a stone’s throw from the cottage and with Petworth House and Deer Park just across the road, it is a walker’s paradise. Ideal cottage for families however people with mobility issue may find the cottage a challenge as it is spread over three floors.

With a short walk into Petworth, the cottage is ideally situated to access the local restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Petworth town centre is just a mere 5-minute walk away with its fair share of coffee shops, restaurants, pubs, lots of art galleries, antique and boutique shops. Over the road is Petworth House and Deer Park, a 17th-century stately home now owned by the National Trust, and contains the finest art collection. It also has a beautiful deer park for wonderful country walks and a great coffee shop. The cottage is just 10 minutes’ drive from Cowdray (the Home of Polo) with a farm and coffee shop. The Weald and Downland Living Museum (location of the TV show ’The Repair Shop’) is 20 minutes drive away and is also dog friendly. Arundel with its fairytale castle, is 20 minutes’ drive and well worth a visit.

This cottage is located in Petworth. Amberley Working Museum and Haslemere Educational Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Petworth House and Cowdray Castle.
