Here, deep in the heart of the River Stinchar valley, shielded from the outside world by the bulk of Knockdolian hill to one side, and the tempestuous sea on the other, you can spend peaceful days, surrounded by nature, under the trees, listening to birdsong and our burbling river, just taking time for you.
And when you've relaxed enough, Tig Cottage is the perfect base to explore the mysterious rugged coastline, rolling hills and historic homes and castles of Ayrshire and the Scottish Southern Uplands.
At night, you can experience the true majesty of the galaxy under our Dark Skies, with plenty of stargazing opportunities, whilst the endangered pipistrelle bats swoop and soar in the sky above you.
Located in Girvan, this cottage is in a rural area and on a river. Pebbles Spa and Ayrshire Coastal Path Trail Head are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Girvan Community Garden and Scottish Maritime Museum. Gkenwhan Gardens and Dunskey Garden are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
