Town: Holyhead, the largest town on Anglesey and perhaps most famous for being the main ferry port to Ireland, is located on the island's northwestern coast. The area is rich in history, with remnants of Roman walls and forts, mediaeval tombs, and stone village foundations. Get out and about in this former quarry turned beautiful park. The park is home to a variety of interesting animals, most notably the seals that frequent the Holyhead coast, and details the incredible engineering that went into building the world's longest breakwater, at around 1.8 miles, which now serves to protect the harbour. Check out the town's colourful marina full of yachts and tall ships, or learn about the 100 nearby shipwrecks at the maritime museum. It's convenient to take day trips to Ireland from here, as the fast ferry to Dublin only takes 90 minutes. This is a great vacation spot all year round thanks to the beautiful beaches in Trearddur Bay, the breathtaking cliff top walks on Holyhead Mountain, and the proximity to Snowdonia National Park (which can be reached in just 20 minutes by car).

Located in Holyhead, this apartment is in a rural area and by the sea. Anglesey Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Breakwater Country Park reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Holyhead Maritime Museum and Ellins Tower Visitor Centre. Fishing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking/biking trails and cycling nearby.
