This luxury lodge is privately owned and can accommodate 4 guests in comfort with all modern amenities for a great self catering holiday break.Heron Lodge is very well equipped and pride ourselves in presenting this property in immaculate order to enable our guests to have a very comfortable stay all year round.Set in the former grounds of Cairnyard House on an uncommercialised site. Located 5 miles from Dumfries town on the A711 (Dumfries and Dalbeattie Road) and 1 mile before Beeswing village.

Take a relaxing weeks break either to take in the surrounding countryside and area or get out and about to explore historical places of interest or take time out to persue your hobbies or interests like fishing, birdwatching, golf, walking,mountain bike 7Stanes area or horse riding .

Brand New Modern Bathroom (7'X6') with Large Walk In Shower sink and toilet a heated towel rail and fan heater.

Open plan Living room (16'X10') with sofa and 2 arm chairs, Flat screened wall mounted T.V. -DVD and CD/Radio- Electric Fire.
Dining Kitchen (11'X8') with modern electrical appliances, Oven,Hob, large family Fridge/Freezer, Dishwasher,Washer/Dryer and self contained with all crockery, cutlery, glassware, cooking utensils, and pans. Toaster, Kettle, Microwave etc. Dining table with 4 chairs.

The Living area has large patio doors opening out over lovely countryside views with verandah decking complete with patio furniture and Gas BBQ for al-fresco dining. The Lodge is fully insulated and Double Glazed, with Full Electric Heating throughout, ensuring comfort for early/late season holidays or winter breaks.

Ideal base for couples and families alike for that relaxing weeks holiday lots of local places of interest like Robert Burns trail, Caerlaverock Castle and bird sanctuary,Shambelli Museum of Costume and Camera Obscura, Drumlanrig Castle and forest trails also a short drive to the coast and lovely forest walks.

Towerwood Golfing Range 2 miles away (floodlit). Some 30 Golf Courses i around the area -Dumfries town some 5 miles away. Glasgow and Edinburgh 80 miles away. Carlisle and Lakes 40 miles away. Gretna Green and Outlet Shopping Village 35 minutes drive away.

Located in Dumfries, this lodge is in a rural area. Dumfries Museum and Old Bridge House are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Dumfries and Galloway Golf Club and 7stanes - Mabie. Dumfries Ice Bowl and Dalscone Farm Fun are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
