McDowall Cottage was converted from a former Garden Bothy. built about 1800. It is romantically situated on the garden wall of Blairquhan Gardens.
Downstairs McDowall Cottage has a dining room/living room with comfortable soft seating, a digital TV, a fully equipped kitchen with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer. A bathroom and bedroom with double bed. Upstairs there is a bedroom with two single beds.

Surrounded by stunning views of unspoiled Ayrshire countryside, over 200 acres of private woodland, a garden pond and a huge walled garden, this two-bedroom self-catering cottage is newly refurbished and offers all amenities our guests will ever need to make their stay very comfortable and unforgettable. .
There is a stretch of River Girvan at the back of Blairquhan Castle on the estate where our guests can enjoy fly fishing. Fishing permit can be purchased from Blairquhan estate office.
Blairquhan Estate is very close to many renowned Ayrshire golf courses - Trump Turnberry, Prestwick Golf Club, Royal Troon are all within 30 minutes drive making our cottages the ideal base for a golfing holiday.
Located in Maybole, this vacation home is in a rural area and by the ocean. Belleisle Golf Club and Turnberry Golf Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Culzean Country Park and Croy Beach.
