Spencer House & 107 & 109 Nunnery Lane - a House of York holiday home is by York’s city walls. It combines 3 pet friendly town houses that between them have a pool table, cinema and games room and are perfect for 16 people - 17th & 18th person incurs additional nightly cost of twenty pounds per stay per house.

Please note we do not accept stag or hen parties, the house is in a quiet residential neighbourhood and is set up for families and groups of friends looking for a lovely quiet place to stay in the centre of York.

We're a 10 min walk from the station (parking available) and a 7 min stroll in the centre of York. Situated just off ‘Bishy Road’ (voted Britain’s best high street) there's also fantastic independent shops, pubs, restaurants, cafes, delis just a minute walk away.

There is local paid parking available thats just a 2 min walk from the house and as our guest you will receive a House of York Craft Savvy Card that enables you to save up to 25% off the full price of ALL food and drink you buy from many of York's independent bars cafes and restaurants.

Entrance and hall: Hang up your coats and hats.

Living area: 2 sofas and an arm chair, a log burner, flat screen SMART TV with Netflix, Britbox, Freeview and books and board games.

Kitchen and dining area: Everything you need to make proper family meals, a dining table that seats up to 6 (high chair on request) and a laundry area with washing machine, iron and drying rack.

Cinema and games room: In the basement there is a cinema room and a games room with board games and table football.

Double bedroom bedroom: Get a great nights sleep in the double bed.

Attic bedroom: A quiet sanctuary that can be set up as a super king or two singles. - A fold up bed can also be set up for an additional charge per stay.

Single bedroom: A perfect room for an adult or child with plenty of storage space.

Family bathroom: Relaxing space with a Japanese-style deep soaking tub, separate shower, large sink and toilet (baby bath on request).

Courtyard: A small but beautiful south-facing courtyard with a table, bench and chairs that are perfect for pre-dinner drinks on a sunny day.

Single bedroom: A perfect room for an adult or child with plenty of storage space.

Family bathroom: A large bath with side taps plus a separate cubicle with a shower and a large sink and toilet.

Entrance and Hall

Once you enter the townhouse from the main street you are greeted by a sense of calm and quiet before heading into the living room (or upstairs).

Living Room

As you walk into the main living area you will see:

- Our comfy sofa and a lovely arm chair
- A side board packed with board games to entertain adults and children
- A flat screen SMART TV with Netflix, Britbox and over 200 Freeview channels


Dining & Kitchen Area

Wonder through to the kitchen and dining area and you'll see you have everything you need to make proper family meals, picnics or to serve up a takeaway. You will find:

- Complimentary freshly baked cakes, perfect with a drink after your journey
- Complimentary coffee, tea, milk, sugar and sweetener
- All the cookware, crockery, glasses and mugs you need
- Toaster, kettle, teapot and coffee maker with ground coffee
- Electric oven, gas hob and microwave
- Large fridge/ freezer
- Washing up liquid, dishcloths, tea-towels and an easy to use dishwasher
- Dining table that seats up to 6 people and a high chair for babies (on request)

Courtyard

The door at the back of the kitchen takes you into a small but beautiful south-facing courtyard with a bench and table that is perfect for pre-dinner drinks on a sunny day.

Bedroom 1

Take a trip upstairs and you will pass the bathroom before coming to the bedroom where you'll find a wardrobe, book shelf packed with books, USB charging points and if you've forgotten the essential hairdryer theres one in the drawer! The room can be set up either as:

- a super king bed or
- two single beds

When you book please advise us on how you would like the beds set up.

Bedroom 2

Go up to the next floor and you will find a double bedroom with fitted drawers and a fitted wardrobe, USB charging points and a lovely double bed.

Bedroom 3

Opposite bedroom 2 you will find another double bedroom. This room has a double bed, a set of drawers, USB charging points and a cupboard for hanging your clothes.

Throughout the bedrooms we provide high quality cotton sheets, two pillows per person and a comfortable duvet. We also provide two soft and fluffy Egyptian cotton towels per guest.

Bathroom

Head back down to the first floor and you will find the house bathroom with:

- A Victorian-style deep soaking bath where you can sit back and relax after a day of site seeing
- A separate cubicle with a shower
- A place to hang fluffy towels that you will find in every bedroom
- A basin and mirror surrounded by shelf space for plenty of toiletries
- A toilet
- Baby bath on request

Toilet

Opposite the bathroom you will find a separate toilet.

Located in York, this vacation home is in the city center. York Dungeon and Yorkshire's Winter Wonderland are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Coppergate Shopping Centre and York Christmas Market. Traveling with kids? Consider Yorkshire Museum Gardens and National Railway Museum. Discover the area's water adventures with motor boating and fishing nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with horse riding and cycling.
