Places to eat and buy food Just at the entrance of the golf club on Golf Road is the Porthdinllaen Cafe. Enjoy a fisherman's breakfast or children's favourite, Americana breakfast with bacon pancake, banana and maple syrup! Bring your own wine if eating here at night. Another excellent place to eat is the gastro pub The Ship at Edern a mile north of Morfa Nefyn. To shop locally there is The Truck Stop in the centre of the village and the SPAR at Nefyn - both supply locally sourced meat, fish and vegetables. Morfa Nefyn Beach and Porthdinllaen This is a long sandy bay and at low tide Porthdinllaen is but a short walk along the beach. This is a perfect little harbour hamlet - it is an idyllic cove with the added bonus of a cracking pub The Ty Coch - voted the 3rd most popular beach bar in the World. What could be better than a drink in hand and feet dipping into the water from the pub wall!Coastal Path This can be joined just close to the back of the property which gives a choice of two headlands. Head northward to lovely Nefyn beach or westward to the gem of the path - the rocky promontory of Porthdinllaen. This is a superb location and a great place to stop and look out for curious seals coming close to the shore. Aberdaron Aberdaron is the 'Lands End' of the Peninsula. It is a tiny village of white washed cottages with an ancient church just above the water's edge. Land has been bought by the National Trust to preserve the unique landscape from development. They have built a new visitors centre which serves as a focal point from which to promote the area. Sample award winning crab and lobster at the Ty Newydd Hotel or The Ship Hotel in the village centre. Enjoy lunch on the balcony of the Ty Newydd with the sea lapping just below and soak up the beauty of the location with two pretty little islands in the middle of the bay know as 'The Isles of Gulls'. There are boat trips from here in good weather to Bardsey Island - home to a myriad of seabirds amongst the ruins of the ancient Abbey. AbersochAbersoch could no be more different with a great atmosphere with tables spilling out onto the pavements from restaurants and pubs. It is also a great watersports centre and is at its most vibrant during the August Regatta. One of the oldest community run regattas in Wales, it boasts a comprehensive list of events from the serious sailing stuff, raft racing, crab catching, sandcastle building contests and best dressed beach hut competition. Glyn y Weddw Art GallerySet just above Llanbedrog beach, this lovely Gothic Manor house is the home of the oldest art gallery in Wales and displays the works of renowned and up and coming Welsh artists.
