Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is a pond in the garden, 10 yards away. Sorry, no children under 18 years old. Please note: The Wi-Fi is intermittent. . Peacefully situated in extensive, beautifully landscaped and maintained gardens, Low Cordorcan and Wee Cordorcan enjoy an enviable position at the start of the RSPB nature reserve at Wood of Cree. Converted from former barns, Wee Cordorcan stands detached, whilst Low Cordorcan is semi-detached, adjoining the owner’s home. The Wood of Cree is the largest area of ancient woodland in southern Scotland and is abundant with bird and wildlife. In spring the wood is carpeted with bluebells and alive with the sound of birdsong, as residents are joined by redstarts, pied flycatchers and garden warblers. By the river you may see goosander and common sandpiper, with teals, snipe and water rails in the riverside meadows. In the autumn, whooper swans and goldeneye arrive from the Arctic. A raised platform gives good views out over the river where otter are often seen.

Cordorcan Cottages are located only 5 miles from the centre of Newton Stewart with many excellent shops and places to eat. With the Galloway Forest and Dark Skies Park close by, the cottage is ideally placed to explore the beauty of south west Scotland. The location is perfect for walkers, golfers and cyclists, with Glentrool, Kirroughtree and the 7Stanes mountain bike trails nearby, as well as a great choice of golf courses. There is an abundance of fishing, bird watching, beautiful and exotic gardens, many rocky coves, sandy beaches and quaint villages to explore along the Machars Peninsula. Beach 29 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 5 miles.
Low Cordorcan (ref UK5891) can be booked together with Wee Cordorcan (ref UK5890) to accommodate up to 6 guests.
