The ideal quiet retreat and a good base for all walking and activity amenities, Penysarn

Gwynedd. Sleeps up to 4

Castle House has two apartments. The Lookout on the first floor and the Gatehouse below. Both overlook a large garden and the open countryside. We are located on the junction at the centre of the small Village of Penysarn. Both apartments are identical in size and adjoin our own property which means were around most of the time should any difficulties arise. We occasionally have another visitor to the property which is our red squirrel (we have no greys on the Island any more). The Village offers a small shop across the road from the property and outside is the bus stop which has a service every half hour running in both directions and is also accessible to other services on and off the Island.

An easy walk of 1 1/2 miles takes you to the quiet little beach of Llaneilian, leading on to two stunning coastal path walks.

In the other direction, roughly the same distance is Parys Mountain which was once where the busy copper mining industry was located. Link this with the Copper Kingdom trail (www.copperkindom.co.uk) in Amlwch Port for an interesting and colourful day. By prior arrangement, we can organise a local guide for you to enjoy this walk and gain further knowledge

Amlwch Port is an ideal location for a spot of fishing and if you like, we can arrange by prior notice for you to take a fishing trip in one of the local boats.
Ynys Mon (Anglesey) has so much to offer all visitors to the Island. From sandy beaches for the little ones, adventure for the 'inbetweeners' and peace and tranquillity for those who've already done it all. We don't have stunning views from our properties but we're not that far away from them. What we do offer though, is a very friendly welcome in two cosy apartments.

We are also able to offer a few other little additions to your holiday. We can offer to make you a picnic basket for your days out if you give us enough notice. If you are staying with us for a week, we will have a welcome basket waiting for you full of goodies, many of which are locally produced. And the ultimate luxury is to have a massage. Again, with prior notice, this can also be arranged for you by a visiting fully qualified beautician and therapist. What more can you ask for?

Located in Llaneilian, this apartment is in a rural area and near the beach. Bull Bay Golf Club and Storws Wen Golf Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Anglesey Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and The Dingle Nature Reserve. Jet skiing and scuba diving offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with mountain climbing and ecotours nearby.
