Great for agile couples wanting a cosy break with a unique experience. Moored at the 5 Star Ocean Village Marina which is nestled in the heart of Southampton and surrounded by shops, bars, and restaurants. The waterfront is bustling and sophisticated, whether eating out, enjoying a glass of wine, or going to the cinema is as much a part of the boating experience as the sailing is.

Visit us to enjoy the splendid location of The Blue Whale with its proximity to plenty of wonderful places to eat in Oxford Street a short drive or the 'Yellow Wellie' cafe for breakfast & lunch also at Shamrock Quay. All very convenient for those wanting to visit Southampton and the surrounding area - the Southampton Boat Show, and the Rose Bowl (cricket). West Quay shopping centre, Sea City Museum, Titantic Trail, Art Galleries, close to the Red Funnel Walk on Ferry to the Isle of Wight, or a short drive to Beaulieu and the New Forest.

Most suited to the more agile of guests, step inside The Blue Whale and feel the warmth and cosiness of this vintage Rig Lifeboat, with a Nordic design throughout to the tabletop indoor BBQ and array of tactile throws allowing you a space to snuggle down and enjoy that special glass of bubbly or on a winters day relax with a nice cup of hot chocolate and a piece of cake.

There is a fully functioning kitchen with under counter fridge freezer, oven, hob, and an array of cooking utensils.

Seating comprises of fitted sofas, side table and additional small table and chairs. There is a basic shower room with a wash hand basin and W.C. However, we would highly recommend that you can make use of the luxury five-star bathroom facilities situated just a one-minute walk from the boat The bed is a double and located at the helm with a window above to watch the stars at night.

Those looking for a short stroll will find Southampton’s bustling high street on their doorstep.

BY ROAD
The postcode for your Sat Nav is SO14 3QF.
M27 Eastbound - exit Junction 3 onto the M271. Follow signs to the ‘Waterfront’. Ocean Village is signposted as you arrive in Southampton. When you reach the traffic lights at Ocean Village, do not turn right into the village, carry straight on and take the next right into Channel Way. Bear right and the car park is on your right-hand side by The Yacht Club.
M3 Southbound- exit Junction 14 onto the A33. Follow the signs to the ‘Docks’ and ‘Old Waterfront.’ Ocean Village is signposted as you arrive in Southampton.
M27 Westbound - exit Junction 7 onto the A334. Follow the signs to Southampton city centre. Turn left into Prince’s Street at the traffic lights after the bridge over the river Itchen. Follow the road for about 1 mile and take the road on the left, signposted to Ocean Village. Go under the Itchen Bridge and Channel Way can be found on the left.

BY BOAT
Proceed up Southampton Water keeping clear of all commercial shipping. At Weston Shelf green buoy, near the junction of the Rivers Itchen and Test, keep to starboard up the Itchen. Ocean Village is about 1 mile further north to port, opposite the old Vosper Thorneycroft yard and just short of the Itchen Bridge. It is essential to call on VHF Ch 80 or by mobile for a vacant berth.

This is a self-contained holiday unit and we do not supply breakfast.

Lost key cards will be charged at £25 each.

The boat does have a shower onboard however it is a more pleasurable experience to use the five star shower block which is adjacent to the boat.

Located on the beach, this houseboat is in Southampton City Centre, a neighborhood in Southampton. Solent Sky Museum and Southampton Maritime Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Paultons Family Theme Park - Home of Peppa Pig World and Leisure World.
