Luxury Town House with Sea View and Hot Tub, Portaferry

County Down. Sleeps up to 5

This attractive townhouse is situated in the heart of the picturesque and historic town of Portaferry directly on the shores of Strangford Lough. You can enjoy views from the ground and first floors across The Narrows to Strangford Harbour, Castle Ward, Winterfell (GOT) and Audley's Castle.
The house has recently been refurbished and features a modern kitchen, two comfortable lounge areas and cosy bedrooms. The master bedroom has a super king bed, the middle bedroom a king bed and the third bedroom is a single. There are family bathrooms on both the ground and first floors. Every room except the single bedroom has a Smart TV that connects to WiFi. Guests can connect to their Netflix or Amazon Prime accounts. The utility room is equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher and condensing tumble dryer. The garden features a raised patio with comfortable seating, hot tub and BBQ, a perfect sun trap for a relaxing day back at the house with the family.
We hope our guests enjoy our holiday home as much as we do. We have given the house a seaside theme to make it a relaxing get away from the daily routine. We have been managing holiday homes for five years.
Our house has a lovely seaside vibe, situated right on Shore Road opposite the Marina and a stones throw from excellent restaurants, bistros, pubs and cafes, not to mention the local shops. The Exploris Aquarium is a short walk from the house which is a must for any visitor to Portaferry. Follow the road south from Portaferry to Ballyquintin Point, a beautiful area of windswept shore and farmland managed for nature by the National Trust. Here you have reached the end of the peninsula. Along the narrow country road heading north, look out for the entrance to St Cooey's Wells where 3 holy wells shelter in a hollow overlooking a stretch of rugged coastline. The drinking, eye and washing wells are still visited today and are reputed to have healing powers. Nearby Millin Bay Cairn is another enigmatic place, a neolithic burial site overlooking the sweeping sands of Millin Bay towards the Isle of Man on the horizon. Further along the coast is Kearney, a quaint cluster of whitewashed fisherman's cottages. The site is managed by the National Trust and is a popular spot for walkers to enjoy the wild beauty of this seascape.
Pets are welcome, however must insist that they are kept downstairs for the duration of the stay. There is a stair gate located at the bottom of the stairs to prevent pets making their way upstairs. We also ask guests to keep pets off the downstairs sofas.

Located in Portaferry, this vacation home is on the waterfront. Ballynoe Stone Circle and Mount Stewart House and Gardens are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Strangford and Lecale and Quoile Pondage Nature Reserve. Exploris Aquarium and Clearsky Adventure Centre are also worth visiting. Discover the area's water adventures with motor boating and sailing nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with hiking and cycling.
