Views over Loch Meig in the Strathconon glen., Muir Of Ord

Highland. Sleeps up to 10

This striking eco-friendly house occupies an elevated and very private location in a pretty highland glen.

Rathad An Drobhair (Drovers Way in Gaelic) gets its name from the ancient Drovers Road that lies to the front of the house.

This property is ideal for a family or group of friends who want to savour the unspoilt beauty of this pretty glen and explore the surrounding countryside.

With the accommodation over two floors there are five bedrooms offering great flexibility with the three ground floor bedrooms being pull-out stacker beds suitable for either single or double occupancy.

The ground floor also has two shower rooms, meaning that there will be no queues in the morning.
A further two bedrooms are situated on the upper floor both benefiting from en-suite facilities and the master suite also has the luxury of a sauna.

The open plan living area is quite stunning with its high vaulted style ceiling and big windows allowing the light to simply flood in.

A well-equipped kitchen means that meals can be prepared with ease and enjoyed around the large dining table.

The sitting area is a cosy space with a woodburner and sliding doors leading out onto an impressive decked balcony.

From the balcony the views out to Loch Meig are superb, this is the perfect spot to sit quietly with a book or enjoy a morning coffee whilst planning the day’s events.

The leafy Victorian spa town of Strathpeffer is just 10 miles away, and has a collection of shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants and is home to the Spa Pavilion, which hosts live music and entertainment.

As you would expect this is perfect location for walkers, cyclists and wildlife spotters alike.

If you decide to take to the car, then famous Loch Ness is within easy reach and in fact from here a day trip over the sea to Skye is quite easy.

The cottage is ideally placed for both the east and west coasts and their fabulous beaches.

Perhaps visit the Moray Firth coastline for some serious dolphin spotting.
