Harlech, a seaside resort further away, offers visitors the chance to relax on the beach, learn about the town's mediaeval history at Castell Harlech, or simply enjoy the view from a nearby café. The nearby town of Criccieth and the Italianate village of Portmeirion are both fantastic day trips. The village of Tremadog is a great starting point for adventures in North Wales.
