Standing proud on our romantic Poldark coastline, Seal Point Villa is a spacious seaside house on the edge of the historic village of Mousehole. As a home from home, 'gives kindly' to all its guests, whether a large or small party.

Come and create those magical Cornish memories, that so many of us cherish from childhood: Easter with the spring-time flowers and beach surprises, Summer on the sands and in the water or a fabulous old-fashioned musical Christmas with the famous Mousehole Christmas Lights.

Flexibility
We have regular guests who come every year as party of 4 to enjoy the space and views. Then there are larger family groups who come to enjoy special inter-generational family memory-making time together. The house lends itself well to many sizes and configurations. Please ask about special rates for parties of four or less.

Space to Relax:
So whether you’re a family of 4 or 6 looking or a larger family group up to nine, Seal Point is a seaside home from home. Large rooms and hallways mean everyone can enjoy being together but also have their own space to relax.

Different Needs and ‘Must Haves’:
With sea views from most rooms and the lounge, dining room and kitchen, with large comfortable beds, four bathrooms (plus a downstairs wc and warm outside shower), parking, wifi, a safe garden, toys and books on hand…we hope the different members of any party will find their needs met. We are fussy ourselves when we go away, so know how important the different elements can be. If you’re the one booking, meeting all the needs can be a tough job - please do not hesitate to ask any specific questions to make sure it’s a fit.

Logistics:
Seal Point has been a much loved family home, which is now prepared and let while we are away. Many bookings happen now by word of mouth but we also advertise here. A professional changeover team manages the house and a relative lives nearby to welcome and help with queries.

Our prices are quoted for 6 people sharing with additional charges for extra people. Please enquire and if possible give the constellation of your party (eg couples, singles etc). Thank you

Relaxation or Activity:
So..what's it like to live here? Sip a good coffee and munch cream teas on the terrace while the children play on the climbing fort in the large gated garden. Watch sea birds, seals, old luggers and sometimes dolphins from the living room.

It's a 3-5 minute walk to the fine restaurants, cafes and galleries of 500 year old Mousehole and the sandy beaches of the small harbour which is perfect for swimming with children. Older children and teens love the water fun in the harbour and can play there in relative independence.

Being so close to the clean sandy harbour beaches, it's perfect for bright young sparks to go to the beach while others enjoy a lazy breakfast on the terrace or indeed for tired little ones to come home for naps while older siblings play for hours in the safe waters. Mousehole harbour is one of the few places where you can mess about in inflatables in relative safety (always supervise, of course).

Golf courses with sea views are 15-20 minutes' drive away at St Just and Praa Sands.

By car or bus, you can discover the Minack Theatre, many other beaches including Sennen, Praa Sands, Porthcurno, Chapelporth, Peranuthnoe, St Ives, St Michael's Mount etc all 3-10 miles away. On foot we have the famous cliff paths, all the way to Land's End and beyond. For relaxation book our excellent mobile masseuse at £40-55 for 60-90 mins

'This is a house like no other. The garden is so relaxing with children and inside there are plenty of toys and books. And oh, waking up to those views!' Sam and Jim

Shops, transport, distances: Mousehole is 3 miles from Penzance and 1.5 miles from the fishing village of Penzance. You can walk (or scooter!) to Newlyn along the coastal path in 30 minutes and Penzance in an hour. Bikes can be hired in Pz.

Mousehole has 4 restaurants, 3 cafes, 2 ice cream shops, a fish and chip shop, the pub The Ship, a much-loved Deli, a grocery shop with fresh bread, numerous galleries and all the charm of the storybooks.

In Newlyn you'll find a small supermarket, fresh fish shops - minutes from the trawlers (including the largest privately owned fleet in UK), 2 bakers, a butchers, cafes, home-made ice-cream etc. The harbour also provides the most suitable moorings for yachts, from £12+ a night depending on length.

In Penzance, 10 minutes by car from Mousehole you've all the shops, cinema etc you'd expect in a town of 20,000.

Located in Penzance, this villa is on the waterfront. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Marazion Marsh, while Newlyn Art Gallery and Penlee House Gallery and Museum are cultural highlights. Traveling with kids? Consider Trengwainton Garden and National Dahlia Collection. Discover the area's water adventures with scuba diving and snorkeling nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with ecotours and hiking.
