The village holds lots of history dating back to the 12th century, and is surrounded on all sides by pasture fields, with panoramic views of Camarthen Bay, while the amenities include a church in the square and a pub serving food. Nine miles away rests the ancient market town of Carmarthen, offering castle ruins, a museum in the town centre, a labyrinth of narrow, winding streets with many interesting shops and a regular open air market.

Located in Kidwelly, this vacation home is in a rural area and by the sea. Burry Port Lighthouse and Carmarthen Castle are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include The Play King and WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre.
