Classic Country cottage, Codicote

Bedfordshire. Sleeps up to 3

My codicote cottage is set in a quiet village in the countryside dating back to the 1600’s.

Low wooden beams, large open fireplace, a delightful garden with a garden room all make for the perfect stay.

Surrounded by rolling countryside. Yet only 35 mins on the train into the heart of London. Train station a 7 min drive away. A similar distance to Cambridge.

The historic Knebworth house (where pink floyd, Robbie Williams, queen and many more have played), is a beautiful 30-45 min walk away through stunning scenery. You can tour the house and gardens.

Very close walking distance are an Indian and Turkish restaurant. 2 quintessentially English pubs with gardens. A butchers, bakers and convienience store.

The lovely market towns of Hitchin, Hertford and St Albans are within a short drive.

At the rear of the garden is a patio with bbq and cooking station. Table and chairs. All with night lighting.

A very spacious main bedroom with high ceiling. The second bedroom is very small and has a smaller than usual single mattress bed with a pallet base. Could sleep an adult but better suited to a child. To clarify this is not a standard bed base so not as comfortable or spacious as usual single bed. Think more like a comfortable camping bed.

Enjoy the charm of the cottage. Relax and explore. Whether it’s in the countryside or in the local towns. .

This vacation home is located in Hitchin. Welwyn Roman Baths and Knebworth House are local landmarks, and travelers looking to shop may want to visit The Galleria and Luton Mall. Looking to enjoy an event or a game while in town? See what's happening at Lamex Stadium or Top Field.
