Killyleagh is best known for its 12th century castle, which appears like a Loire-style chateau and is just 35 minutes drive from Belfast. The apartment is close to Delamont Country Park , The National Trust's Rowalane Gardens; and Castle Ward, where Game of Throne tours are very popular with the location of the Winterfell Castle.
There is Castle Espie, a wetland centre with numerous wildlife and is a short drive to the scenic seaside resort of Newcastle, known for its superb golf course and hiking in the Mourne Mountains. And of course Murlough National Nature Reserve. St Patricks Visitor Centre in Downpatrick is a must.
