St Bernard's Crescent, beautiful bright and well proportioned 3 bed flat, Edinburgh

East Lothian. Sleeps up to 6

Beautiful bright and well-proportioned New Town flat in one of Edinburgh’s finest Georgian Crescents.

New to the holiday let market in 2015, 3 bed flat in the Stockbridge area of the Edinburgh New Town.

In a beautiful Georgian street, the property is flooded with natural light and overlooks the St Bernard's Crescent Gardens to the front and with views over Stockbridge and to Fettes College at the rear.

The flat has been newly decorated and furnished to a very high standard to provide a home-from-home treat for holiday making families or couples, corporate lets and city breaks.

3 good sized bedrooms (1 superking, 1 twin/superking, 1 king; UK sizing) decorated to the highest standard with beautifully comfy beds and bedding. Bed 2 has a hotel-style zip and link bed that can be made up as twins or as a luxurious superking.

A very generous living room with dining / kitchen off provides generous seating for 6. The table is extending and is shown in the photo in its smallest setting, it extends with 2 further leaves to generously accommodate 6 or more.

With its impressive Georgian architecture, St Bernard's Crescent features regularly on TV and films.

The property has superfast wifi, a 4k smart TV, Blu-ray player and the usuals you would expect.

Stockbridge:

You are less than 5 minutes walk away from all of the amenities of Stockbridge, the village in the city. There is a Sainsbury’s local for a quick grocery shop about 5 mins walk away and a Waitrose within 15mins walk. There is also a range of wonderful independent shops including Shaw’s the butcher, the fishmonger and an amazing patisserie.

There are many choices for eating out including Tom Kichin’s family friendly gastropub, Scran and Scallie; Pizza Express; the Raeburn Hotel;
Or Take-away and delivery including Domino’s Pizza, Street Food Thai, Pizza Hut and of course a good old British ‘Chippie”;
And a good selection of bars, many offering food too, why not start at one of the Edinburgh institutions; The Antiquary or The Baillie.

Inverleith Park is 5 mins away with it's historic yachting pond and wide open grounds to stretch your legs; its a popular area for runners and those exercising the children.

To the Edinburgh hotspots:

From the flat you can walk through the new town into the centre of Edinburgh (George St, Prince’s St) in about 10 minutes or if you prefer you can hop on a bus at the end of the road and it will take you there in a couple of minutes. It will also take you on the Old Town (Royal Mile, Canongate, Grassmarket etc) in another few minutes.

Further afield:

From this central location, you have easy access to the surrounding Lothians, Borders and other cities such as Glasgow and Aberdeen by train or bus. There are beaches, hills, lochs and mountains just waiting to be explored.

Getting here:

From Edinburgh airport, you can hop on a bus or tram to bring you into the town centre from where you can walk down to the property or, if you have a lot of luggage, you can pop in a taxi.

From Waverley station, I would hop in a taxi.

If you are driving in, there is a pay-for-parking bay in Danube St, just opposite the flat. The nearest free parking is about 10 mins walk away, in Arboretum Rd.

Why choose this property?

Choose this flat because of the stunning architecture, perfect location, modern dining kitchen onto living space, large sitting room, genuine 3 double bedrooms, bright rooms front and back and the fact that you are really not overlooked, which is unusual for a flat in town.

There are only 3 flats off the bright main stairwell and the other residents are lovely.

Please note that this flat is on the second and top floor, which means that we benefit from added light and better views, but there isn’t a lift so you do need to be able to climb the two flights of stairs.

We bought it for our own use during school term time and to let during the weekends and holidays. We have decorated it to highest standards for our enjoyment as well as sharing this with you.

My name is Nicola and my husband and I own the flat and are letting it directly. I would be very happy to answer any questions, please just give me a call or drop me an email.
