Region: Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.

Town: Situated between Llanberis and Caernarfon lies one of the most beautiful areas of North Wales: Llanrug. Although one of the largest villages in Arfon, Llanrug is still relatively small, with only 761 houses, many of which are farm buildings and renovated cottages. There are only a few shops in the village, including a butcher, two pubs, two grocers and a chip shop. Should you require any further amenities, Bangor and Caernarfon are only a short drive away. The village has its own attractions, such as the 11th Century church of St. Mihangel and the Memorial Hall, built in the early 1900s. Llanrug's most famous neighbour, Llanberis, is only a few miles away. Llanberis has been christened ‘the Gateway to Snowdonia' and offers access to Mount Snowdon and the unspoilt wilds of the Snowdonia National Park. Llanberis also has a variety of restaurants, shops and inns, serving weary walkers with local fare.

Located in Caernarfon, this cottage is on a river. National Slate Museum and Caernarfon Airworld are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Hafod Eryri and Redline Indoor Karting. Traveling with kids? Consider GreenWood Forest Park and James Pringle Weavers.
