This detached cottage is close to the town of Kirkcudbright near to Dumfries and can sleep eight people in four bedrooms.

Fish House is a lovely detached cottage situated close to the town of Kirkcudbright just twenty five miles from Dumfries. The cottage can sleep eight people in one king-size double bedroom with en-suite shower, one double, one twin and one children's bunk together with two bathrooms. Also in the cottage is a kitchen and sitting room with dining area and woodburner. Outside is ample off road parking and a front garden across the road with furniture. Fish House is set in an isolated location with fantastic views.

Amenities: Oil central heating and underfloor heating in bathrooms and woodburner. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, 2 x TVs (one with FreeSat, one for video use only), DVD, CD, WiFi, selection of books, games, children's videos and DVDs. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburner inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Highchair and travel cot available. Off road parking for 3 cars. Front garden with furniture. One well-behaved pet welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 2 miles. Note: The garden is on the other side of the road from the house, across a busy road and care should be taken. Note: There is a drop from the lawn onto the sand and again care should be taken. Note: Swimming is not advised from the garden; Dhoon Bay, a popular local swimming beach, is about 10 minutes walk from the house. Note: There can be shooting in the local area during the months of October, November, December and January. Note: Max 6 adults.

Town: The historic and picturesque town of Kirkcudbright sits on the banks of the tidal waters of the River Dee, on the north Solway shore. Established as a Royal burgh in 1455, giving it status to trade with ports outside Scotland, Kirkcudbright has always been supported by a busy fishing trade and is home to a blue flag marina.

Located in Kirkcudbright, this cottage is on a river. Stewartry Museum and The Whitehouse Gallery are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Cally Gardens and Laggan Outdoor. Fishing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling and hiking nearby.
