Town: The magnificent Bamburgh Castle, set on a basalt crag, dominates this part of the Northumberland coastline and is one of the most popular destinations for visitors to the region. The Castle is home to the descendants of the esteemed Victorian industrialist Lord Armstrong, and is open from March to October. Bamburgh has other claims to fame, however, most particularly as the birthplace in 1815 of brave Grace Darling, who saved many lives from the wreck of the Forfarshire. The village has a very beautiful parish church, St Aidan's, as well as a number of pleasant pubs, restaurants and independent shops. The region is renowned for its golf courses, its wide sandy beaches and the spectacular Heritage Coast. There are opportunities for serious bird-watching at Budle Bay and the Farne Islands.

Located in Belford, this apartment is in a rural area and on a river. St Aidan's Church and Bamburgh Castle are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Seahouses Golf Club and Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Club. Fishing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with horse riding, hiking, and rock climbing nearby.
