Achnacarry self-catering holiday cottage in Lonemore near to Dornoch. Sleeping up to 4 guests, great views across the Dornoch Firth. Its tranquil location, beautiful scenery and mild climate have attracted visitors for decades. Some come to test their golfing skills on Royal Dornoch's world-famous championship course, or to walk and view wildlife in the National Nature Reserve at the nearby Loch Fleet. Whatever you plan for your holiday, this property is the perfect basecamp.

The porch/ entry has 3 cane chairs, one armchair and a coffee table. This is where guests can enjoy the breath-taking unspoilt views of the ever-changing Dornoch Firth through the large window panes facing the garden and sea. The lounge is furnished with 3-seater settees, 2 armchairs, a coffee table, two small tables, a writing bureau, a sideboard and a television. The fireplace in this room is for decorative purposes only and cannot be used. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, fan oven, microwave oven, washing machine, kettle, toaster, and is fully equipped with cutlery, porcelain, etc. Kitchen linen, cloths, etc. are provided. The master bedroom consists of a double bed, pine wardrobe, dressing table, night table with lamp and a large mirror. The second bedroom has 1 standard single bed and a pull-out single bed. There is a chest of pine drawers and a built-in wardrobe. The bathroom has a shower, wash hand basin and toilet. Towels are provided. The hallway connects the living room with the two bedrooms and the bathroom. Here, a set of drawers is available to guests as additional storage space. The garage/ parking on the premises which houses one car. There is parking space for 2 additional cars. The garden is a very large garden, situated at the back of the property. This slopes down to unused farmland which borders on the Dornoch Firth beach. A small garden at the front of the house runs parallel to the road and leads to the garage and additional parking space.

Guests have access to the entire property. Prior to your arrival, we will email guests a contact number for the property owner or local housekeeper for your use should you require any assistance during your stay. There are a number of restaurants, bars and shops in Dornoch. Food shops: There is a Co-op and a convenience store in Dornoch. The Co-op is usually open until 10 pm. Tesco, Asda and Lidl supermarkets are in Tain which is a few miles south of Dornoch. Restaurants: Luigi's on Castle Street, Sutherland House, Links House, The Eagle Hotel, a few others also. Pubs: The Dornoch Inn, The Eagle Hotel, Castle Whisky Bar & Bistro, a few others. Takeaway food: Chinese, Indian, Harry Gow bakers. A car is recommended when staying in the Highlands (especially in the Dornoch area). Taxis operate 24 hours of the day. There is a bus stop in Dornoch that can take you North and South of Dornoch. No smoking. Not suitable for pets. No parties or events. Check-in time is 4 PM - 10 PM. Check out time is 10 am. Although housekeeping staff will clean the property after you leave, we respectfully ask all guests to clean and put away any plates, cups, glasses, etc they have used during their stay. All bed linen, towels (one hand towel and one bath towel per person), electricity, heating and Wi-Fi are included in the price. A starter pack of supplies: includes toilet rolls, complimentary sachets of coffee, sugar, teabags.

This apartment is located in Dornoch. Royal Dornoch Golf Club and Tain Golf Course are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Alladale Wilderness Lodge & Reserve and Dornoch Beach.
