Borth Y Gest, with its cliffs and coves, is a short walk or drive away from the town. Portmeirion, a well-known and unique Italianate village, is just down the coast. Portmeirion, located on a rugged clifftop on its own private peninsula, is famous for being the setting for the TV show The Prisoner and the final episode of Cold Feet. It is surrounded by miles of sandy beaches and woodlands.
