The village's rich history includes a church built in the sixth century, tales of smugglers, and infamous shipwrecks off the coast. It has also been a popular vacation spot since the Edwardian era. To this day, it is best known for its stunning beaches and water sports such as windsurfing and kiteboarding, which can be learned in the village itself.
