Unique Norwegian cabin perched above the River Findhorn with a stunning view, Nairn

Cairngorms. Sleeps up to 2

This unique Norwegian cabin built in the 1890’s and served as a painting studio for the Earl of Leven at that time who was an amateur water colourist and photographer. It is perched above the Findhorn with breath - taking views across the river to the Dunearn moors. It's the perfect romantic hideaway or retreat.

It is 200m from Glenferness House shielded from view by rhododendrons. There is a canopied double bed and a hammock to relax in. There is a shower-room. There is electric heating. Hidden in the cupboard you will find a fridge and microwave and washing-up bowl as there is no kitchen sink. There is also a table-top cooker, toaster and kettle. There is no WiFi nor television reception at The Studio but there is a television that can play DVDs and there is also a CD player.

Located in Nairn, this cabin is on a river. Nairn Museum and Grantown Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Lochindorb Castle and Culloden Battlefield. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
