Take a break in a delightful cottage that has countryside and coastal walks right from the doorstep. Enjoy the relaxing surroundings of the cottage which is located along side the river and beneath our magnificent horse chestnut tree. There are some great pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance.

Little Avalon is a two-bedroom, semi-detached cottage, conveniently located in the historic township of Laugharne on the West Wales coast.

The cottage is to be found just off the central square in Laugharne. It is close to the shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs, yet offers a good degree of privacy, being at the end of a private pathway of similar properties. It is within a short walk of the foreshore and castle.

This property is managed and maintained by the owners, so you are guaranteed of the highest standards of service. At Little Avalon we hope to offer you a home from home experience. Our aim is to make your stay as comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable as possible.

The accommodation is very well presented with quality furnishings. The well-equipped kitchen diner includes a ceramic hob, oven, microwave, washing machine, fridge freezer plus all the usual kitchen accessories. The dining table comfortably seats six people.

The spacious lounge has a large leather suite, 50-inch TV with DVD, iPlayer, Netflix etc. French doors open on to the patio.

Bedroom 1 is a large room with a king size bed and a TV.
Bedroom 2 has a double bed and a small dressing room.
Each bedroom has a built-in wardrobe, dressing table with mirror and hairdryer.

There is a modern, contemporary shower room consisting of shower, washbasin and toilet.

Little Avalon benefits from WiFi and central heating, at no extra cost, making it cosy all year round.

The enclosed garden has table and chairs for relaxed outdoor dining on the patio, with views over the river towards the park on one side and glimpses of the castle on the other. There is private allocated parking for one car.

Whether it's a cosy meal for two or dinner with friends, the kitchen-diner at Little Avalon is the ideal place to prepare and enjoy a meal together.

There is also a great choice for eating out; whether you fancy a quick coffee and cake, fish and chips, a pub lunch or fine dining, Laugharne has it all covered.

Laugharne is a unique and enchanting little town on the River Taf estuary; famed as being the place which inspired the poet, Dylan Thomas. Laugharne has recently provided the location for the spectacular coastal scenery and high street in the hit BBC series, "Keeping Faith".

Laugharne has a traditional fish & chip shop, Thai restaurant and a good selection of cafés, restaurants and pubs. Laugharne also has a fine Norman castle, Dylan Thomas' writing shed & boathouse, a riding stables and many scenic walks. The Wales Coast Path passes through the town. The estuary provides bird watching opportunities, fishing and boating. The property is just yards from the foreshore and walks along the estuary.

Laugharne is an ideal base from which to explore West Wales. Pendine Sands is only a 10-minute drive away, the resorts of Tenby, Saundersfoot, the beaches and tourist attractions of Pembrokeshire and the National Botanic Garden are all within easy driving distance.

Located in Carmarthen, this cottage is on a river. Pembrokeshire Coast Path - South and Waterwynch Spa Retreat are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Battlefield Live Pembrokeshire and Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo. Looking to enjoy an event or a game while in town? See what's happening at Morfa Bay Adventure or Pembrey Circuit.
