The company that owned Plas Panteidal did not maintain it. It has now been taken over by new site owners who have a program of improvement and already the roads are greatly improved as is the electricity. The water is also improved but is subject to ongoing work.
Set in the beautiful foot hills of Snowdonia, within the wooded park of Plas Panteidal, nestles the delightful Y Bwthyn holiday chalet.
The chalet park is on the banks of the river Dyfi and only a few miles from the picturesque village of Aberdovey, with its beaches and aquatic sports activity.
The chalet makes an ideal base to explore the area and enjoy the many activities and walks that abound.
The site is located at the foot of the lovely Cader Idris Mountain range on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park and near the resorts and beauty spots of Cardigan Bay. The beautiful harbour village of Aberdovey with its' renowned mild climate, sandy beaches, sailing and championship golf course is about 3 miles away. There are many out door opportunities close – sailing, canoeing, windsurfing, yachting, rock climbing, abseiling, hill
walking, pony trekking, sea fishing and more. The chalet park is set in 40 acres of steeply rising woodside overlooking the scenic splendour of the Dovey Estuary.A delightful wooden chalet at Plas Panteidal on the edge of Snowdonia near Aberdovey. The chalet is set in woodland but has partial views of the Dovey Estuary.
Dogs are welcome by arrangement at a slight extra cost.
The chalet is recently decorated and insulated and has an air conditioner and de-humidifier.
It is three bedrooms sleeping six which comprises one with a double bed and two with two single beds each.
There is free parking next to the chalet and additional parking nearby.The chalet is close to the picturesque village of Aberdovey and there are numerous sporting activities nearby.
From the site there are stunning views of the Estuary and the Mountains.
It is in the grounds of the old palace of the Bishop of Bangor and close to places associated with Arthurian legend and local Fables.
Bookings are normally from the Saturday until the following Saturday and the weekly price varies from £200 per week to £450 per week in the high season.
To avoid light pollution the site is unlit so torches are advised.
Please note the water is supplied from an onsite spring and boiled or bottled water should be used for cooking and teeth washing etc.

Located in Aberdovey, this chalet is in a rural area and by the sea. King Arthur's Labyrinth and Barmouth Bridge are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Eryri National Park and Cors Dyfi. Coastriders Kitesurfing and Corris Craft Centre are also worth visiting. Discover the area's water adventures with scuba diving and windsurfing nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with cycling and hiking.
