This is the ideal retreat in which to base yourself so you can explore all that the area has to offer. Enjoy the idyllic holiday location, set close to the Norfolk/Suffolk border, with free on street parking there really is fun to be had in all directions. The seaside resort of Lowestoft has a lovely award-winning sandy beach boasting two piers with an abundance of family entertainment. The town centre has a good selection of shops and a small shopping centre. Lowestoft is the perfect base for exploring Norfolk and Suffolk. To the south is Southwold, ever popular for its pier, the brightly coloured beach huts and of course fish and chips at just 20 minutes away. Other places to visit that are within easy reach are Aldeburgh, Royal Society for the Protection of Birds Minsmere, Dunwich and the Suffolk Heritage Coastline.
Those who enjoy a bit of ’retail therapy’ should head to Norwich city just 45 minutes’ drive away, or 30 minutes on the train from nearby Oulton North Station, where you will find two indoor shopping malls, market square, cathedral, castle museum, plenty of cafés and restaurants. Walkers will be spoilt for choice with breezy coastal walks and Corton Woods, a network of meandering footpaths. Factor in lots of bird watching opportunities, cycling routes, boat hire, windsurfing, speed boat racing and sailing opportunities galore. You’ll see why this part of the coast is a popular destination.
North beach is just 1 mile away, South beach 1.5 miles away and the town centre is less than 1 mile away with the main area for restaurants being the old High Street just over half a mile away.
A Cafe, restaurant & museum are located at Sparrows Nest Park within half a mile.
A local pub, general store , tea-room and Chinese takeaway as well as another takeaway offering fish & chips , Kebabs, pizzas, burgers and other simple foods are less than 5 minutes walk from the property.
