North Stables is a bright and spacious apartment in the 18th-century Stable Block, built in lovely golden sandstone. Originally built to accommodate the coachmen, grooms or stable hands, the flat is reached from the inner courtyard with access via an external staircase (approximately 18 steps). The attractive courtyard now houses a handloom weaving workshop, a tearoom and a craft shop that sells a wide range of locally produced crafts. North Stables makes an ideal base to explore Montrose and the surrounding area.
