This beautiful farmhouse rests in Shropshire countryside near Ellesmere, and can sleep 16 people in six bedrooms.

Kenwick Farm House is an impressive farmhouse located on the fringes of Ellesmere, in the Shropshire village of Cockshutt. It boasts six bedrooms; a king-size double, a double with en-suite shower room, a twin and two family rooms with a king-size double and single trundle beds with en-suite shower rooms, while on the ground floor is a twin with an en-suite wet room, sleeping 16 people altogether. There is also a bathroom, a ground floor cloakroom, a kitchen/diner, a utility, a sitting room with a gas fire and a full-size snooker table, as well as an additional TV room. To the exterior is an enclosed garden with a man-made pond, seating areas and ample off-road parking. Kenwick Farm House is to be enjoyed the year-round.

Amenities: Oil central heating. Electric range cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, 2 x TVs and WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Ample off-road parking. Enclosed garden with lawned areas, patio furniture and man-made duck pond. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 1 miles, pub 0.1 miles, Coffee Hatch cafe 1 mile. Note: There is an unfenced pond at this property, children to be supervised at all times. Note: There is a small fish pond close by with Roach and guests are welcome to fish free of charge. This property requires a good house keeping bond of £500. Suitable for golf breaks, escorted with or without transport. Local advice is available.

Region: A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.


Town: Cockshutt is surrounded by Shropshire countryside and has many of the features of a traditional village with a pub, village hall, primary school and a parish church. Ellesmere offers Tudor, Georgian and Victorian buildings, a church and a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, surrounded by its famous meres. With the National Trust owned Attingham Park, Wroxeter Roman City and Acton Scott working farm, along with a number of charming villages and towns in the area, this is the ideal base for a family holiday.

Located in Ellesmere, this cottage is in a rural area and on a lake. Wem Town Hall and British Ironwork Centre are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include The Adventure Rope Course and Hawks on Walks. AMF Bowling and Battlefield Falconry Centre are also worth visiting. Be sure not to miss outdoor adventures like hiking/biking trails and cycling.
