There are some fantastic walks to be had directly from the property, with paths leading to Buckbarrow, Middle Fell and Seatallan on the doorstep. The shores of Wastwater are within a 15 minute stroll taking in the views. Wasdale Head is a 10 minute drive away at the feet of Yewbarrow, Great Gable and Scafell Pike.
The property itself has been recently renovated and has all modern conveniences to hand including Broadband and Smart TV to keep the Kids (& Grown ups!) entertained after a days exploring. It has a landline if you need to keep in touch with the Outside World, although it can be easily unplugged if you want to make the most of the lack of phone signal on your break in the Lakes!
There are a number of excellent pubs and restaurants in the local area - The Famous Wasdale Head Inn is a short drive away, as are Nether Wasdale, Santon Bridge and Gosforth offering a great selection from Hearty Pub Grub to one of the best Italian Restaurants in West Cumbria.
There is a Village Store in Gosforth (approx 10 minutes drive away) that offer a good range of products. The major supermarket chains also deliver to the property if required.
