Although Laugharne itself is very picturesque and has everything you need for a stay, the town is ideally situated for exploring Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire is only a short drive away with the pretty seaside town of Tenby a 20 minute drive away.

Laugharne itself is on an Estuary. The nearest beach with facilities is Pendine, a short 7 min drive. There are cafes, shops and pubs here and at low tide a huge expanse of sand with lots of rock pools to explore if you go around the headland.

Being so central to Laugharne the location is ideal for most. There are the odd night when the proximity of the Mariners can be heard at the weekend. For most it is not an issue.

Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and Pendine Sands reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Battlefield Live Pembrokeshire and Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo. Traveling with kids? Consider Ocean Commotion, or check out an event or a game at Morfa Bay Adventure. Discover the area's water adventures with windsurfing and surfing/body boarding nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with cycling and hiking.
