The river and a massive watermill constructed there in the early 17th century gave the settlement its name. The Old Bushmills Distillery, which makes a wide range of whiskies, has brought fame to the town of Bushmills. Bushmills is home to a variety of shops and restaurants, including cafes, bars, and fine dining establishments. The village is situated on the designated Causeway Coastal Route and at the river Bush's crossing point. Ballycastle is a great place to visit because it has a golf course, a beach with a Blue Flag, and a wide variety of unique shops and restaurants.
