A bespoke handcrafted double shepherd s hut nestling amidst the mature woodlands of a country mansion. Relax and unwind in the peace of the gardens and the private hot tub that overlooks the River Evan. Dual aspect windows let the light flood into the open plan kitchen/living area. Enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay in this double shepherd s hut which is located on the edge of the picturesque town of Moffat. The town has a rich heritage and is also recognised as a Dark Sky location, so it s a wonderful place to admire the stars. Moffat boasts an array of local quirky shops, a monthly farmer's market, friendly pubs and numerous eateries. There is an interesting museum, an 18 hole golf course and a beautiful park with a boating lake, a putting green and an interactive water feature: Moffatasia. Explore the huge selection of local walking and bike trails with breathtaking views. Othe places of interest include Grey Mare s Tail Nature Reserve, one of the UK s highest waterfalls plunging 60 metres and leading to Loch Skeen, St Mary s Loch and the Devil s Beef Tub, all of which are within 17 miles. Drive down the private road and through the glorious grounds of the country mansion, and you will find the bespoke handcrafted double shepherd s hut, nestling in between the trees just in front of Evan Water. The shepherd s hut is named after the first owner of the Mansion Thomas George Bishop of Beattock. Climb the three steps up and make your way into the smart and stylish accommodation. There is an open plan lounge/kitchen area, where you can enjoy cooking in the well equipped kitchen. When supper is ready, dine at the spacious glass topped table. Relax in the lounge where you can enjoy a movie on the TV or sit back with a local dram or locally crafted beer. There are two bedrooms to choose from; a double and a twin which has amazing views of the pond and Evan Water. Both bedrooms share a bright shower room. Outside, there is a slabbed patio area that has a roomy picnic bench and patio furniture. Relax under the stars in the bubbling hot tub with beautiful views
