As named, the property sits at the grand entrance of the Fasque Estate, which is absolutely stunning whatever the season, with woods, streams and paths to explore. It is a haven for wildlife, home to otters, eagles, red squirrels, deer and woodpeckers. Located between the unspoilt Eastern coastline and the truly magical Cairngorms National Park both within 23 miles. The historic village of Fettercairn is just over a mile away with its Royal Arch and the pretty market square where a well worn Mercat cross stands, the shaft bears the date of 1670. Enjoy a tour of the Whisky Distillery, which was founded in 1824 by the owner of the Fasque Estate, try a dram or two and discover more about this national tipple. As you enter the lodge, you will find yourself in the hallway, there is a small porch area to hang coats and store shoes. The lounge is off to your right and features a cosy open fire and comfy seating, there is a Smart TV and it offers a great space to relax and unwind. The kitchen leads off the lounge, it has everything you will need, an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and fridge/freezer. There is a dining area in the kitchen and access out onto the garden. Head back through into the hallway and you will find two king size bedrooms with feature fireplaces. The bathroom is at the end of the hallway and has a shower over bath and WC. There is a large private garden, with a dining area next to the property for you to sit out and enjoy breakfast or a drink on a nice day. There is private parking for up to three cars, to the rear of the lodge within the garden area.
