Caithness. Sleeps up to 6

The staggering views and unbeatable tranquillity that you'll experience at this property are signature to its remote location in Caithness, famously much loved by the Queen Mother. You'll be surrounded by seascape vistas and views over Pentland Firth to the Orkney Islands, Dunnet Head and the Castle of Mey. With easy access to great walks, sandy beaches and fantastic fishing, there's ample opportunity to explore the stunning local scenery. Head to Gillis Bay (1 mile away) and catch a ferry for a fantastic day trip discovering the rich history and wildlife of Orkney. Shops and eateries are within 2 miles of the property, so everything you'll need for a relaxing break is nearby. Light and airy, with tasteful decor and comfortable furnishings, the interior is an inviting haven in which to unwind. Glorious panoramic views from the spacious conservatory with dining table and comfy seating, ideal for painting, birdwatching, or simply sinking back with a book. There's ample seating in here for six people, so you can indulge in a family dinner with the sea as your backdrop or enjoy less formal meals around the table in the well equipped kitchen/diner. Once the plates are in the dishwasher, retire to the lounge and relax in front of the TV. Also on the ground floor is a family bathroom with a bath and shower, as well as a utility room. Make your way up the beautifully ornate staircase to find two comfortable doubles and a twin bedroom as well as a convenient WC up here too. If you don't feel like venturing too far from the house, there's plenty of space in the enclosed garden for the children to blow off some steam. The property also benefits from off road parking for up to three cars.
