Cottage in Isle of Arran, Whiting Bay

Isle of Arran. Sleeps up to 4

The raised position of this property provides an excellent vantage point for admiring the seascape views that sweep away from Whiting Bay, the third largest settlement on the Isle of Arran. Just a few minutes' walk (less than 0.5 miles) from the centre of the village, shops, eateries and even a golf course are on your doorstep. Head down to the beach for a day on the sand, or take a 10 mile drive to Brodick Castle where you might spot a red squirrel or two! All the rooms inside are set on one level and have a soothing coastal ambience. The compact kitchen is practical and well equipped, while the dining room has ample seating for four around the table. After a hearty meal, wander through to the lounge where you can admire sea views from the comfort of an armchair. Sink back into comfy seating with a book while you listen to some music, or pop on a DVD. Two cosy bedrooms await: one double and one twin. Both bedrooms are brimming with colourful charm and have plenty of storage space. They share use of the bright and clean family bathroom, which has a shower over the bath. There is also a utility room and porch with heaps of space for wet coats and muddy boots to dry out, ready for another day of adventure. The house is surrounded by a large grassy garden, the perfect place for a sunny picnic. If you'd prefer to make use of the patio, why not dine alfresco as the sun sets? Or simply sit out here with a glass of your favourite tipple and listen to the crickets chirping after nightfall, waves crashing in the distance. Please note that a small burn and ditches bound the sides of the garden but it is not fully enclosed. Therefore, small children and dogs should be supervised.
